The beach communities get hit hardest. Wrightsville Beach, Carolina Beach, Kure Beach, and Figure Eight Island are barrier islands . they take the full force of every storm that makes landfall. Service entrance damage, flooded panels, and salt-air corrosion on top of the storm damage. Cliff has been repairing storm damage on these islands for decades.
Inland Wilmington has its own problems. Low-lying neighborhoods flood during heavy rain events, and the mature tree canopy means downed limbs on service lines after every major thunderstorm. Leland and Hampstead see similar flooding in low-lying subdivisions, especially along the river and creek systems.
We respond to storm damage across Monkey Junction, Myrtle Grove, and Ogden / Porters Neck as well. Whether it's a downed service line from a summer thunderstorm or full hurricane recovery, the process is the same: assess the damage, coordinate with Duke Energy, repair what's broken, test everything, and get your power back. If the storm exposed the need for a panel upgrade, whole-house surge protection, or a generator, we'll talk through those options while we're there.
